Bita qualified as a dental hygienist in Sweden in 1999. She started her career in hospital dentistry which included nursing homes, mental hospitals, and prisons. She also lectured oral health care at schools. Bita is qualified for both Clinical caries and periodontitis diagnostic, and dental radiology. She is also qualified in all aspects of tooth whitening and impression taking. Bita moved to Nottingham in 2002 where she worked in a variety of dental practices before taking a two-year career break after the birth of her son. She returned to dentistry and attended various courses to enhance her in-surgery skills. Because of the passion she had for patients’ well-being and satisfaction, and also her special interests in dental anxiety and mental health (due to the work she performed within hospital dentistry in Sweden) she decided to do a bachelor’s in Psychology. Thereafter, she also obtained a Master’s Degree in psychological well-being and mental health. She is passionate about improving patients’ self-confidence and general well-being. She believes that excellent communication and building a good rapport with each patient is key to achieving a high standard of care and the best clinical result. Dentist
Morteza graduated from the University of Göteborg (Sweden) in 1997. Extensive experience in general practice has given Morteza grounding in all aspects of dental care allowing a fully comprehensive approach to patient care. Morteza started his career in Trysil Norway’s largest ski destination, where he gained tremendous experience in surgical dentistry. Since arriving in the UK in 2002, Morteza has undertaken countless hours of training, including an 18-month Clinical Certificate in Implantology at the University of Sheffield. Morteza also provides services in short-term adult orthodontics such as inmanaliiner and cleartalighner. Outside work Morteza enjoys spending time with his family doing some DIY and gardening. He also actively follows the world’s news and sport, particularly football.

Administration Manager / Dental Nurse
Jessica joined White Orchid in 2015 when she was 17 as a trainee Dental Nurse and qualified as a Dental Nurse in 2017. Jessica is friendly, caring, and highly committed to good customer service. She enjoys spending time with patients, getting to know them, whilst understanding their needs. Jessica finds the ability to help others the most rewarding part of her role and especially loves helping nervous patients through their treatment. Jessica recently took on the role of Operations and financial manager at the practice so is currently working more in the office than in the surgery. Outside of work Jessica enjoys meeting up with friends, playing piano, and walking her dog Sam.

Consultant / Specialist in Restorative Dentistry
Neil graduated from Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals, London in 1998. Following the completion of a 5-year specialist restorative training programme in London, he was appointed as Consultant in Restorative Dentistry at the Queen’s Medical Centre, Nottingham in 2006. Neil’s specialist practice focuses on Restorative Dentistry. This includes the replacement of missing teeth with dental implants, bridges, or dentures and the rebuilding of worn/damaged teeth (prosthodontics), complex root canal problems (endodontics), and the management of gum conditions (periodontology). His hospital Consultant post is focused on complex dental implant-based treatments to help patients affected by head and neck cancer, and also the management of patients with cleft lip and palate and younger patients with hypodontia who have not developed teeth. He has a particular interest in rebuilding worn teeth and has published research and frequently lectures in this field. He sits on the council for the British Society of Prosthodontics and is the honorary treasurer. Neil provides consultations and treatments directly to patients and also receives referrals from local practitioners to assist them with their patient care. Neil’s approach the other people is exceptionally humble and gentle, and he is a patient listener. Outside work Neil enjoys spending time with his family, playing volleyball, cycling, and walking his dog.

Dentist
Lama graduated from the University Of Central Lancashire in 2014. She is a caring and passionate dentist with a keen interest in cosmetic and preventative dentistry. She has had surgical experience at Kings College hospital in London, as well as completing multiple courses on smile makeovers, veneers and composite bonding. Lama is also a specialist Invisalign provider.She is experienced in working with nervous and paediatric patients. Her calm approach ensures everyone receives a superb personal experience when attending for their treatment. In her spare time, she is an avid traveller; exploring different cultures and trying different cuisines. She is also multi-lingual person who speaks 5 languages fluently, and grew up in Brazil.

Clinical Manager / Dental Nurse / Massage Therapist
Helia joined White orchid in 2020. She finds the ability to care for others extremely rewarding, therefore, after doing an NVQ 3 diploma in beauty therapy and also a couple of years in law school she decided to do a dental nursing course where she actually can practice where her passion lies. Helia is kind and compassionate. She has the benefit of both a hands-on role in the surgery dental nursing and she is also the Clinical manager where she keeps things running behind the scenes. Outside of work she enjoys keeping fit with exercise classes and running. She also loves cooking and spending time with family and friends and her dog Lucy.

Nishat is a qualified dental surgeon who graduated from India, currently registered as a dental therapist with the GDC.
With over 3 years of experience in the field, she has gained the trust and confidence of her patients. Nishat comes with strong academic and clinical experience. She has a calm and caring nature, prioritising patient satisfaction and well-being.
With a solid understanding of dental therapist functions and commitment to provide first-rate treatment plans and patient care, Nishat is White Orchid’s latest addition to the family.
